Dark Oak Brass Dial Longcase Clock By Robert Bunyan
Beautiful 8 day longcase, made by Robert Bunyan, 1748-1810. Bunyan was a silversmith by trade, taking over from his Father in 1800; in the same year he was elected a sheriff of Lincoln.The break arch brass dial having a silvered chapter ring with roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date ring. The Tudor oak case having gilded wood capitals to the case hood and being finished with a brass finial to the hood top.The good quality 8 day movement is powered by 2 weights and is striking on a bell.We are Time in Hand (Shipston) Ltd, established antique clock shop and restoration service for over 40 years based in the Cotswolds.
