A Brief History of Time (In Hand)

First opened in 1975 under the name ‘The Grandfather Clock Shop,' the shop was dedicated to selling fine antique clocks, starting the journey of over four decades of passion and dedication in horology.

Late in the 1970’s the shop was renamed as we all know it today, Time in Hand, expanding the work in repairs of clocks, barometers, tower clocks, musical boxes and watches.

This structure flourished for almost 40 years and created a name in traditional and contemporary clock and watchmaking to the best of standards with experience of restoring and repairing over 25,000 clocks and watches.

In December 2019, the Company changed ownership and a new journey started when two young specialists joined hands and envisioned an exciting new direction for the future of Time In Hand.

The result of this is professional clock repairs and restoration services, combined with ultramodern watchmaking repairs and restorations which will take the company through the 21st century!
